Samosa

Samosa is one of India's favourite snacks. Here is how to prepare it.

FOR STUFFING:

| 2 tsp oil | 1 tsp cumin | ½ tsp coriander seeds, crushed |

| Pinch asafoetida | 1-inch ginger, finely chopped |

| 1 chilli, finely chopped | ½ cup peas | ½ tsp red chilli powder | ½ tsp coriander powder | ¼ tsp cumin powder |

| ½ tsp dry mango powder | ½ tsp garam masala |

| ¼ tsp pepper, crushed | ¾ tsp salt |

| 4 potatoes, boiled & mashed | 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped |

Mix well and taste for seasoning.

FOR DOUGH:

500 Grams of plain flour | ¼ tsp of carom seeds |

½ tsp of a salt | ¼ cup of oil | ½ cup of water.

Mix the Ingredients ingredients to form a sticky dough.

Preparation

First, roll the dough into oval shape (make sure is not too thick or uneven), then cut it horizontally, diving into 2 equal portions using a knife, grease with water and make cone, stuff the cone with prepared samosa masala, close and seal tightly apply some water at the edges for help.
Stir occasionally, deep-frying the samosa on low flame for atleast 15 minutes, till it turns golden and crisp, then drain off over kitchen paper.
